'The Nothing Post'

The moment it was 6 pm (time to call it quits, punch your card, get outta there, it's gonna blow...), i was still struggling at my desk with the papers and documents and the mess. Visible and invisible, finite and infinite, Conquerable and undefeatable. The Mess was everywhere. Since i clocked in at 8.30 am, it had been building like a massive dam about to explode upon a small town, with me as the boy sticking my finger in the hole at the base of the dam, trying to stop the water from destroying everything.

Alas, this story didn't end with people finding me. And no one else helped to overcome the impending disaster.

I guess i'll have to tend to it tomorrow.

Good news so far is that the time spent in my current job moves like the sand in an hourglass, the type that people use to measure time boiling eggs. Yeah, THAT fast. The moment i'm finished with something trivial (and usually i get caught up with the worst type of trivial, the ones that eat away my time like sulphuric acid to cardboard), another comes, smiles at me from my desk and works aways like the last.

After 7.30 i realised that one of my colleagues (who was not really toiling away, programmers lead a charmed life, and yeah i'm gonna get my ass kicked for saying that, haha) was still at his desk, so i asked for a ride home as he just brought his car all the way from Pahang few weeks back.

Had dinner at some coffeeshop near Prangin. Burned my tongue eating 'loh mee' (Noodles covered with thick gravy) while adding grounded chilli with soy sauce and 'fermented' green chillies, but it was all good. Something that relieved a fair bit of work stress.

And of course when 2 dudes from the same workplace meet: We have a lot to share especially in the complaints dept, we are after all humans who want the better in life, though most of the time, even when it's in front of us; we are oblivious to it. We just want to complain.

Felt a lot better after that.

Anyways not working on Saturday as it's the King's Birthday. I'm so blessed. It's going to be a semi-long weekend again!.

Cheers.

;-)
