It was only an hour later that i woke up clutching my trusty Nokia with adrenaline beginning to rush through my veins. I never got up an hour later. And i was sure i was going to be late for work. But anyways, all the rushing made me learn one thing. There's only so much you can do when you're in a hurry, the rest is so dependable on other factors...
But anyways after getting all worked up and stuff, i still managed to clock in a few minutes before 9. And that was a real relief, the type you almost get after restraining your full bladder for almost 2 hours straight without going to the loo....or maybe i'm just exaggerating....;-)
Today nothing happened that was really interesting at the bus stop. And yeah Willz, i'm still kinda feeling regret over yesterday so don't rub it in man, haha.
Dinner was decided over the fact that i left work late. And after much reasoning with myself, i took a walk to the Jetty place and had dinner right before grabbing a bus. It was some mamak place where they served good old packeted nasi lemak and bihun and indian kuehs. Also they sold loose Dunhill cigarettes for MYR 0-50 a piece (i suppose this can deter people from smoking here since it's costly...but who knows?...). So catch this, a budget dinner at a place with privacy AND atmosphere:
- One Nasi Lemak
- 2 indian kuehs - one Vaadeh and another one that resembles a small donut, which i aptly named the 'tyre' kueh.
- One 'Teh-O-Panas'
Total = MYR 2-20, now that's value for money......
So yeah, after a semi-satisfying dinner, i made my way back to One Stop, and here i am.
I have no idea what being a hamster would feel like. But i didn't like the idea that one of the girls on the bus brought theirs. All cute and Hamtaro-ish but being shaken like a salt shaker everytime the sardine bus would
- Make an abrupt turn
- Make an abrupt stop
- Go too fast until the whole bus seems like it's falling apart
And to make things worse, when the bus actually STOPS, the girl would raise the pink covered plastic home of that particularly sad hamster to look at it. I feel your pain littly guy/girl....or at least imagine it. I can only hope that the poor creature would manage to run away and live with its kind somewhere better. A trip from the Jetty TILL One Stop would practically put any small pet in shock/terminal coma. But then again, what do i know?
Words and expressions used:
- -toot-TOOT- : The sound a Nokia alarm makes, or that's what i set it to do, it gets louder by the seconds.
- Mamak - Indian Muslims, usually they set up great eat out places.
- Nasi Lemak - rice cooked with coconut milk, very fattening, and served with fried curried anchovies, egg and fried fish.
- Kueh/s - Small snacks, somewhat like biscuits but they aren't (Hahha, i have no idea how to explain this one....)
- Bihun - Stir fried thin noodles, God help my explanations....
- MYR - Malaysian Ringgit, Malaysian money and currency
- One Stop - A shopping place, one of the stops on my way back to the apartment.
- Hamtaro - Some Japanese Anime about a hamster, real cute but has brainless plots (Sorry Hamtaro fans, whoever you are....)
- Teh-O-Panas - Tea with only sugar, served hot.
This concludes my broadcast day.
