'The Vampire, Laxative';
along with the cold sweats and curses
of whatever it was that made -
this and everything else which was now wrong.."
The doctor prescribed me pills (grey and green capped ones for diarhoea, orange ones for giddyness and bluish painkillers - the color schemed cures) and a few packets of some powdered drink to replenish the lost fluids and electrolytes - cost of which (+ consultation fees), was submitted under 'medical claims' early this morning to my immediate executive's in-tray. It was really sickening (well, irritating does better I guess) - having to wake up in the middle of the night (and wee hours of the morning), so-knowing that whatever felt twisting and moving in my stomach - marked an emergency which I could not avoid. And so like the daytime slave that I am to my work - on Wednesday and Thursday, I was a marked one for Diarrhoea. It owned me.
I would have remembered if previously (my whole life span) I had gotten myself one of these - Because (which makes any illness
1) Eat nothing if you're not hungry,
2) Eat easily digestible food; if you are,
3) Eat nothing which is fried, spicy, et al)
- I had porridge and breads for the last couple of days. Today actually had me feeling well again, but still - I had chickpeas for my pre-lunch snack, mumbling to myself when I saw another passenger-of-the-ferry-over-to-Butterworth having Twisties. And now, I'm not even sure if they were 'chickpeas' - well I'm pretty sure they're not 'white beans' (read: kacang putih).
