So movie day turns into cybercafe day.
Prangin was crawling with 'War of the Worlds' enthusiasts, all knowing the power of tuesdays where the cine would give a show for a measly MYR6-00 (which coincidentally was how much i nearly spent on dinner, i was retarded on the spot when he charged me MYR3-00 for a small piece of lamb - judging the amount of meat on that, i'm considering buying a slingshot for small animals..., somehow i' reckon that the office clothes bring out all the closet cut-throats...), and so (back to the original sentence), all the early shows had been sold out.
Which in turn made me turn to the other haunt of the working class (and mallrats): Gurney Plaza. Slightly more posh than Prangin, and of course the rule of nature where 'beautiful flowers' attract 'beautiful insects' apply. Here, it was featured (WotW) only in premier class, and so it completes the irony of the evening: it's too expensive so it's almost empty.
I'm thinking of going on a regime consisting of non-smoking weekdays and cup noodles on alternate weekdays for dinner (i sense doom manifested in the form of a monstrous pot-belly and ugly pre-mature baldness). Money preservation is especially crucial for me this month: a new place would require me to put in a few months worth of good dough. But let's not go there. I'm trying to live semi-contentedly.
Work has not changed a bit. Though my new colleague has been given part of my portfolio, i feel no different. The things that come back to back, all pilling away into my 'in' tray, are almost becoming a routine. I use 'almost' because i have yet to efficiently 'put all the nails into the coffins'; not ending the tasks neatly or thoroughly. I am so generous with my carelessness that i amaze myself (and irritate my immediate superior & manager) almost daily.
I have the next 3 weekends off. Can't wait.
