I have no idea why my page is being displayed with a bottom left sign that says, 'Done, but with errors on page'. I know my writing ain't award winning and now IE has to stamp this thing on me (read: this guy has made a lot of mistakes on this page). People who know what it means, that error occuring at line thousand something, kindly assist this soul. My thanks in advance.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Papers have been building up on my desk, and this week (or last, i can't seem to place the event in a proper chronology, head's shot as usual..), my immediate superior (a term i'd coin for folks who are not bosses but aren't really work-pawns as well, a mid-class profiled character responsible for bridging the gap between work-pawns and perfectionist / mentally evolved managers), noticed that i was starting to accumulate papers (in the aspect of matter, they would probably be in existence by killing a 5 foot treeling (sorry i have forgotten all the genus and species of plants that i had to stuff in my head during varsity), too many to be called 'proper work-keeping'. She did mention however that one of these days that we would have to go through them for confirmation, that it wasn't needed anymore, and then, into the wall cabinets [that on some days, (I) would wish were portals into John Malkovich's mind, kidding...].
I have to get someone to honestly tell me that i'm doing alrite. Of course i can't see anything from my point of view, even if there was real progress, the fact is constantly hidden by
1. Being in an all female work environment (no complaints here, but sometimes being subtle, especially in our Asian culture does not help me in any way of figuring out things).
2. A boss who seems to think that i have come down from the stars, gifted with the ability to understand and execute things that are as foreign to me as the Shinto religion (just a simple example; i am also not familiar with the workings of a tractor, how to play poker or what snails taste like....i am in no way trying to shoot anyone down, bear with me anyways if you think i'm lying ;-)
3. The after effects of having a slower brain since November courtesy of unemployment, the internet, the advances in broadband technology and the marvelous sticks-of-death.
4. Not having home cooking on weekdays. A healthy mind (the machine that produces perception) can only come from a healthy body.
5. My brain being frozen from the air conditioning in the office. Sometimes it's a thin line to refrigeration.
Well, the last few are a bit off topic. As usual.
Next week there's much to look forward to. 'War of the Worlds'. A new colleague (coincidentally female too, i think that God is trying to make me understand the female mind, for reasons that are yet to be in my comprehension). My 3rd paycheck from this job. And of course the loose quirks that seem to be in the way of my living in Penang. I think it's safe for me to say that i've seen a lot of colorful characters here.
I hope to have a good weekend this week too. Wish me luck.
;-)
