Well, let's call it a day. I can recount what happened vividly. I made a mistake, a real daft one at that, so yeah, for a while there i thought my ass would be fried, but amazingly my immediate superior was still trying to contain her frustration. I have to agree, i was a real lame thing to do, but yeah what's done is done, and i just hope that there's no repetition of what happened. I realise that the greys are showing something else besides physical traits of genetics....the brain ain't runnin' too well, haha.
So yeah, 2 more days till Taiping, and i got a msg from a friend tellin' me that the tickets to Tpg doesn't sell at Komtar no more. So yeah i'd have to check that out immediately after work tomorrow, if not i'll be stuck in Penang for another day. Anyways, there's things for me to figure out if i can't get it at the said place.
Yeaps, also i'm meeting an old friend from the ex-teaching line tomorrow, supposedly she's working in Butterworth, so yeah i have something to do tomorrow, instead of walking around today round Gurney Plaza to check out if Love Me Butch has released their stuff here way over North at the shops. So far no luck, but yeah, walking around in Penang is equivalent to some minor fun.
Anyways yeah since i'm on the topic of screwups, i was at the shops eatin' din' and i overheard this conversation, basically it's a conversation with a chinese aunt who's waitering and an indian customer, i was having kuey teow soup and found it slightly amusing. Check it out. (Note: Chinese Aunt = C.A, Indian Cstomer = I.C.)
I.C. :"Hey, saya mau teh panas" ("Hey, i wanna hot teh")
C.A : "Ar?,....teh?......................................teh ais?" ("What?,......teh?..........................iced teh?")
I.C. : "Bukan, PANAS, PANAS punya!" ("No!, Hot, Hot teh!")
C.A. : "Tak mau ais?" ("You don't want an iced one?")
I.C. :"........................................"
Note: it's hard for me to translate teh, 'cause if i said it was 'tea', it'd be a different picture, and yeah it's sort of like tea with condensed milk, a Malaysian favorite at coffeeshops, but anyways, the drink here is immaterial.....
Yeah, good ol' miscommunication. Also i find that Penang people can just strike up conversations. An indian woman got onboard the bus and sat next to an old chap, i couldn't determine his race 'cause he had some aged-but-long-hair-flowing look. But basically when the guy saw her kid, he was asking her age, name, stuff like that. It was pretty interesting and 'warm', until he started talking about chapatis (unleavened bread correct me if i'm wrong). "Does she eat chapatis everyday?, Hmm, chapatis good.....chapatis good......". The best thing was the woman was agreeing with him (or she had nothing better to say and was afraid this guy was a psycho, so 'let's not get on his nerves'), saying "Yes, chapatis are good, lot's of fibre in 'em". Hahahhaa.
So yeah, that's just me capturing things with my eyes and mind. It was alrite, an alrite way to finish off my day.
'Evening.
