'Coals'

The coals of our hearts lie waiting,
their hidden fires the same dream
resting between our motionless bodies.
Perhaps it stems from the breath of a body
we dearly desire. We catch ourselves
saying Breathe into me, breathe
into me to one another with nothing
but our eyes sometimes;
we talk of forest fires and rain
until they are all cherished alike.

I wish I could be this eloquent. When I translate my thoughts onto paper, they end up being really drama-mama'ish :P Keep posting!
