Today was the last service in Church [we will be using the school hall next door for future services (and other ministries), until the renovation is completed].
No one knows when the first hammer will fall against the building; but Pastor has already mentioned that he, and those who are willing, will be there on that day--laying their hands in prayer before the work begins.
I imagine a bunch of construction workers tapping their feet, on the day--tools in hand, waiting as Pastor and whoever will be turning up huddle together in prayer; everyone soaking in their shirts, sweat beads trailing across their faces in the noon sun; one group with their wondering eyes, the other with their eyes closed.
Me paper-pushing, oblivious to all else; distant in more ways than one.
