'When You Decide..'

I tried to connect, but I failed.

Tragedy: simple.
Along the lines of talk, lost;
when the rain is hard.

Because somewhere down the road, I lost you.
You went to a place which I could never go, never choose to go, never thought to go
You severed this unintentionally; unknowingly placing yourself on a plain so distant - it was unreachable to every one (anyone); even for those with every intention to find you: you; you became a star, invisible.

Did you ever look back, and in retrospect say, "I'm the furthest I've ever been.."?
Are you tethered still to the lines which had you bound when you were younger?;
Do you go back to see them while they're still there for you to see?
When it rains, do you think of the place in your youth; the days of your youth?

I can't remember your birthday anymore.

You've not fallen,
as far as me; you have not,
I can only hope..

Because somewhere between growing and becoming, you lost me.
I went to a place which I thought familiar, comfortable, close to home.
Sometimes I'd remember how it all was, how fond those moments passed are to me.
Sometimes, even the day before becomes a mystery to me. But I know, that sometimes - I'm just not looking.

Sometimes I do not want to think of leaving, but when everyone I know, save for three have, it doesn't leave me with much else. And would I become like you, when I do, if I do?:

A star invisible, and not much else.
