List 5 weird or random things about yourself:

1. I'm Cantonese. I can't write my own name in Chinese properly (with the correct number of strokes and their chronology in place, for each character); nor can I string a sentence in Mandarin which can be understood by the normally discerning listener e.g. 'I'm innocent', 'Where is the toilet?', 'You've got the wrong guy', etc etc.

2. On the subject of auto-accidents caused by yours truly:
I had my first experience of the aforementioned while driving my aunt's brand new car. It wasn't a manual. I scratched the left side of the front bumper against one of the porch pillars while trying to reverse. Luckily for me, it wasn't that serious. My cousin laughed and said I'd just christened the car.

The second one happened one fine day while I was driving my Daihatsu through a straight and relatively empty road on my way to work. I tried making an emergency turn (don't ask me why it was executed with such flair, it was a spur of the moment thing, as far as I can recall. That and I was young..) for swift parking purposes and a motorcyclist which I had overtaken a minute earlier slammed into my side of the door. It was a 'softer collision' though it did dent the door. Luckily (again) for me, it wasn't serious for the motorcyclist. We stood there a good couple of minutes arguing whose fault it was, and who should pay for my door. My threats (though voiced with a certain amount of reason and politeness) of taking it to the police fell short of the intended effect. It was left unreported. I forked out about 400-00 ringgit for the repairs (Note: 400-00 / 3.77 should give the estimated cost in USD).

3. I never owned a single pair of jeans. Not that it mattered.

4. The first time I discovered that I could move (noticeably) a vein on my left hand, was the first time I met her.

5. I have a degree in Botanical Science; I majored in Horticulture. I've been a temporary teacher, a quality assurance executive in two different companies, a section head for moulding in a factory and a purchaser; none of which has relation to my course of studies.


I do not wish for anyone else to do this quiz. I want to lie down now.
