'Chocolates & Daydreams Is Your Smile to Me'

Seated while slurping down my Sunday morning noodles, half stoning and half trying to concentrate on not choking as i had slept late - It's been a long time since i've felt such surrealness in conversation, nevermind that we've never met - it was special in a very memorable way... :D

Ahem, back to where i left off..

My long-time Christian brother was also busy, alternating tastes between his curry laksa and his girlfriend's clear chicken stock noodles (I'm not sure. I'm just assuming for the sake of storytelling - they could have been noodles of an entire different variety). Though we had not met for months, we could still talk about (almost) everything (They told me that they had visited the blog at one time, but didn't go to the topic of me picking up smoking - well, they have big hearts i can tell ya that much, and probably avoided it for my sake).

And like a stray bullet (not uncommon for my thoughts, words too...), spurned by what i had felt on Friday's trip back to Taiping - I just started yakking about how simple it is to be happy and content (well, for me anyways) - though the feeling was a fleeting one - accepting where/what you are, embracing what you have/haven't, and not ever wanting more (only that the past week i had felt short incidences of it, which is why i used 'fleeting' in the aforementioned sentence).

I had just purchased Furniture's 'Twilight Chases the Sun' courtesy of FH's visit to Penang (we went to Disc n Dat - a real cool place for Cds and the like), and a few songs from the said album struck me deep - I absorbed my environment like a sponge and revelled in the simplest of instances, all the while with the music playing - from the typical morning busride, walking across the long and potholed road with the noon sun gazing down to the ticket stand, getting stuck on the highway for thirty minutes because one part of the road was littered with fish and styrofoam boxes from a previous accident (some jokers who were on motorcycles stopped and actually took home whole bags of fish), and walking back home.

I guess sometimes I just need to know where to look.

Tonight's a great night. One of you know why.
