School buses leave their respective points, and kids are all anxious to get home. I hear the sound of one of 'em passing now.
I used to remember me being one of them, the after school, the relief and release of getting out of that formulaic protocol, friends made it fun and bearable, teachers (depending on who) made it different. Damn, i miss my schooling years, still do. Everyone says it's the best years of anyone's life, how true.
Taiping weather is the pits (also depending on the time of year), heat is a real killer, to top it all off, my room doesn't have proper air ventalition, it's humid and the afternoons feel real long....the fan is producing a very lulling, inorganic sound, the sound that eases me and ocassionally sends me to sleep.
Taiping seems to have a magical gravity about it that slows everything down, yeah physicists should come and see whether the g is > 10 here. Not much change can be mentioned for any resident here, save for the fact that recent rumours, and this is mostly true though i have yet to see the place for myself, a bowling alley has been licensed and established somewhere in the town vicinity. I'd bowl, if i was working, but then again that's just an excuse. And i probably would'nt when i am working, 'cause that'll be when i'm not free/too tired to.
Plan to go for my walk in the Taiping Lake Gardens again, evening time accumulates much attention and attendance from us Tpg-ites, families, friends and lovers can be seen spending their time there. It's pretty scenic save for the fact that the recent dry spell has turned some parts of the lake into crap zones.
I wonder if i will get that job in Penang?
Somehow i'd think that i'll miss a lot of things here, this is so human of me, and of course, normal. Spending so much time here, i'd feel that i've taken a lot of things for granted: my mum, the Tan household and of course the buddies that i still have scattered in this mundane town. I think i'll miss my mum the most, after all, she's the only family that i've got. And she's a blessing.
The machine that's next to me hums in approval. Damn, the weather is hot!.
I hope to figure out more of what i want, hopefully within the next few days, need to get in touch with my cousin to see if there are any places near (ehem, if i do get accepted) my workplace for rent. Can't wait to step on Penang soil again.
